haha I am a day older than you.
I am the same though, I never got to see him play, but the time I was into the NBA was the year after he retired. 
I still think he is amazing though. This video is pretty emotional.

Hes actually right, its because African Americans are not fully black. Most of them have white genes in them which makes them have better physical qualities.

Does anybody know where I can get a copy of “Larry Bird Night”? I remember watching it on TV as a kid and it was great. I had it on VHS but my brother taped over it, I was furious. That was many years ago and I haven’t seen the special since. Larry was the greatest.
Any info?

I agree too man. I was young when bird was in his hay day, I was born on june 3rd, 1982, I di see his tallent till 92, that was also the year when the blaziers wher in the NBA play offs agienst the bulls. Now about 16 years later the blazers are starting to kick some ass

i agree with this. it is not a racial thing, but there has to be some reason why black men are better athletes/bball players. i’m a white ex player who was a good athlete but i’m not afraid to say that there has to be something to this theory. why are the best sprinters black? they have something in their DNA that is different..better for athletics.
